Is the BPR50dX the replacement for the Motorola BPR40?
Yes. Motorola has discontinued the BPR40 (Mag One), and the BPR50dX is its direct successor — same rugged everyday form factor, upgraded with digital DMR mode, 64 channels, USB-C charging and up to 23 hours of battery life.
Will it talk to my existing analog radios?
Yes. In analog mode the BPR50dX works alongside existing UHF or VHF analog radios programmed to the same frequencies — including BPR40s during a phased migration. Digital (DMR) mode requires other DMR-capable radios.
Can the radios be programmed to match my existing fleet?
